High dose of statins can beat dementiaDr Lin and his colleagues found that the patients who took the highest dose of statins were three times as likely to reduce the chance of developing dementia. It was the dose rather than whether the pills were water soluble or lipid soluble which made the difference, according to Dr Lin of the National Taiwan University Hospital.
